However, there are two full service bars less than fifty paces from the front door, plus a few more within walking distance. Downtown Starkville has really changed since we opened almost 19 years ago. Back then we were the only business open downtown after 5. Now, the place is jumping until after midnight every night. There is even what the college kids call the drunk bus that has scheduled stops at night through downtown. Anyway, you can definitely get a cold beer or about any flavor you like. Posts: 1691 Mon, Jun 22, 2009 16:26:03	2009 Spring Fever Results Progressive Ring Game top 3: 1 Josh O'Neal 2 Little Sam Gilmer 3 Frenchy Choudoir Jason Evans and Frenchy were eliminated in the same game but, since Frenchy had the greater amount of money going into the game he took third. Open 9-Ball top 8: 1 Jonathan Hennessee 2 Luc Depierne 3 Grady Matthews 4 Keith "Coach" Morgan 5/6 Craig Cummings & Sam Gilmer 7/8 Ryan Malley & Josh O'Neal The finals were about as close as it gets. Luc was in the hot seat and Hennessee was the last one on the one-loss side. Luc was the one that had taken Hennessee out in the second round of the winners side. Hennessee won the first set of the finals. The final match went hill/hill with Hennessee coming out the victor. Jr. 9-Ball top 3: 1 Josh Senter 2 Austin Neal 3 Jake Davidson These three were somewhat confused, but definitely elated when the money was paid out to them. My friend, and a prominate figure on this board, PELICAN, ADDED 150% to the total prize pool!* For the Juniors and myself, thanks Pelican. I would like to thank all those that played and attended. If I didn't get a chance to speak with you personally, I apologize and trust you understand. We will do it again in the late fall with the 2009 Fall Follies. Y'all come back now, ya hear. * In the back of my mind I keep thinking I should really consider running a FEMALES ONLY tournamet. For I know two things Pelican really endears are kids and women, not in exactly the same way you understand. But, with Pelican here I can just see the flyer: The PELICAN ROOST POOL TOURNAMENT - No Entry; Everybody Will Cash; Largest Added Money in the History of Pool.
