Posts: 1669 Thu, May 21, 2009 02:16:09	Tags : None The following players are invited to enter the: Progressive Ring Game Invitational 8pm Friday, June 19th, 2009 during the 19th Spring Fever at Southern Billiards in Starkville, Mississippi Blue = Invited Red= Signed-up to Play Armand "Luc" Depierne Blake Todd Chris Biggert Darrel Biggert David Trest Harold McAbee Jeremy Stufflebeam Jerry Wildman, Jr. Jesse Middlebrook Jonathan "Tater" Tedder Joseph "Jojo" Cole Jason Evans Daniel "Lil D" McKenney Mobile Will Nic Vita Patrick (Jackson) Payden Phillips Reed Flint Ricky Simpson Ryan Malley Sam Gilmer Scotty Waters If you are someone you know is interested in entering the PRG and the name is not on the above list, give me a call at 662-617-2020 and it will be considered. The purpose is to keep the players reasonably close in order to provide a competitive game. There were 7 players in the Ring Game: Luc Depierne, Jason Evans, Grady Mathews, Josh O'Neal, Frenchy Choudoir, Keith "Coach" Morgan, and Sam Gilmer. It paid the top three places: Josh O'Neal was the last man standing; Little Sam was second; and Frenchy was third. Got to get some sleep . . . . Posts: 1693 Tue, Jun 23, 2009 01:17:48	GulfportDoc, I think, and I sure hope, Grady enjoyed his visit to Southern Billiards. Most of the younger players have no idea how Grady played when he was their age. For any of the players in the Open 9-Ball tournament this weekend to finish third was a very respectable finish, which is where Grady's run at the tournament ended. Anyone that knew how he played several decades back would agreed with the statement I made when Grady was eliminated from the Progessive Ring Game. Which was "at one time he was one of the best players on the face of the planet, at any any game!" Just because the best of his game is behind him doen't mean he doesn't deserve the respect and admiration of a true champion, which he was and always will be.
