Gulfport, Miss., 39507 - (228) 897-1234 $2500 ADDED GUARANTEED $125 Entry (includes $15 greens fee) Strictly limited to the first 32 paid Races to 3, Double Elimination 10 tournament tables: 5 Diamond, 5 Kim Steel Payouts: 1st=$1700, 2nd=$1170, 3rd=$800, 4th=$550, 5th/6th=$380 7th/8th=$260, 9th/12th=$125. (37% of the field!!) Calcutta pays 6 places. AA (Professional) - Gives A 11-7, B 12-6, C 12-5. Examples: Daulton, Schmidt, N. Vita, J. Cone, Joyner, Frost, Richeson, Broxson, Jamie Farrell, Hennessee, etc. A (Top area player) - Gives B 9-7, C 10-6. Examples: Eddie Brown, Mike Surber, Lil John, Luc Depierne, David Trest, Lil Sal, Mike Black, Harold McAbee, etc. B (Local shortstop) - Gives C 8-6. Examples: Joey Aguzin, Jason Moran, Bobby H, Buffalo, Jerome Gambino, Jaybird, James Cox, Jim Jennings, Memphis Bill, Scott Saucier, etc. C (Average) Examples: Art Tripp, Keith Shilling, Big Joe, Humphrey, Craig Bourgeois, David Walters, Mark Moore, Randy Whalen, Billy Mac, Bobby Landry, Joe Wilkens, Mike Trawick, Glen Kelly, etc. All handicapping will be done by committee. These are "best fit" handicaps. Some will be high or low within their level. Decisions of the tournament director are final. Payment to Skeeter's accepted by money orders, certified checks, or cash until 32 are paid. No personal checks accepted after October 18th. Phone the room to see if the event has filled. There will be a short alternate list. Anyone who pays, but doesn't get in, will have his money promptly refunded. Any attempt to misrepresent a player's skill level, or to slide in a "ringer", will cause immediate disqualification of the player and his cohort. Skeeter's contacts: Ricky or Colleen (228) 897-1234. Posts: 603 Fri, Aug 8, 2008 19:04:12 Charter Member	Scotty-- As it happens, after checking around, I've had to move Harold up to the "A" (top area player). So if you'd have to get 2 or 3 balls from him, you'd be at the "B" (local shortstop) level. We also may have to up the weight that A gives both B and C to 10-7 and 11-6 respectively. There may be other fine tuning as well. But Scotty-- we'll do everything we can to get a line on you in order to put you at the right level. Keep in mind, there are only to be 4 levels; where as to do it more accurately, we'd need 7 to 9 levels, which will not be possible. Doc

If it's learned later that your 1P game is stronger than that, then we'd have to raise you to the "B" (local shortstop) level. I recall you gambling at 1P with Benny Conway, Jr. a year or two ago in Gpt. I don't remember what weight you were getting. The safe thing to do is to go ahead and pay and sign up. We'll be sure to put you in the correct "best fit" level. Doc

I got the flyer up in the room and have already got four entries, however, I explained you had 9 entries paid and only takin 32 so they had better get their money in. One pocket is more popular here than nine ball. Is Mark Moore really a C player?

Keep in mind that buying a spot for a mystery player, or buying more than one spot without all names known, are both prohibited. For example a guy wanted to pay for himself and "one other" (not named) player. We told him he could buy for himself, but not for the phantom player. You know how some of the schemers and bad apples are. They'll try to sneak in a ringer to gain advantage over the field. As is mentioned on the posters and flyers, if that occurs, we will disqualify the ringer AND his cohort on the spot. Re Mark Moore: He hasn't played in over a year. He tried to play in the 9-ball tournament last weekend, and he couldn't run 3 balls. Frankly, I doubt that he'll play. But if he does, his game is certainly no higher than a "C" (Average) level. If it'll be your birthday around tournament time, that means that you must be a Scorpio! Doc

The field will be strictly limited to 32 players, so any of you 1P players who are thinking of playing should get with it. The levels are: AA (Professional), A (Top area player), B (Local shortstop), C (Average). As of today here are the players who have paid, and their handicap levels: Joey Aguzin-B, Jason Moran-B, Art Tripp-C, Jerome Gambino-B, James Cox-B, Larry Charbonnet-B, Casey Killian-B, Richard Sharpe-C, Ryan Malley-B, Bobby Landry-C, John Henderson-B, Bill Rowsey-B, Nick Vita-AA, Jason Evans-A or AA (to be determined) Half a dozen others have said they plan to play; but so far-- no payment.
